T – Ara Showcase in Malaysia 2012

KUALA LUMPUR, 22 June 2012- T – Ara will be coming to have their 1st showcase in Malaysia. It will be held at Dewan Wawasan, Menara PGRM, Kuala Lumpur on 3rd October 2012 (Wednesday), at 8.30p.m.

T – Ara is a popular Korean girl group formed by Core Contents Media in 2009. This Korean girl group consisted of 7 members, Lee Ji-hyun, Jeon Boram, Park In-jung, Park Ji-yeon, Ryu Hwa-young, Ham Eun-jung, Park Sun-young. They has signed a $4.3 million contract with management company J-ROCK for their Japanese debut, which is the highest out of all the girl groups debuting in Japan.

T - Ara first single, a remake of their 2009 hit "Bo Peep Bo Peep", debuted at number one on the Oricon weekly charts with 49,712 copies sold and became the first for a debuting Korean girl group ever in history. T – Ara has also won “Top Artist of 2011” at Billboard Japan Awards.

B.A.P Showcase in Malaysia

BLOCK B DEBUT STAGE IN MALAYSIA

KUALA LUMPUR: Sunday, May 27 2012 was the day which BBC (fans) have been waiting for a long time since BLOCK B debuted last year. Jazzy Group of Companies alongside with Brand New Stardom has brought the Hip-Hop group, BLOCK B to Malaysia as guests performing for Kenanga Wholesale City Grand Opening on 26^th of May. It was held at the 15^th Floor of Kenanga Wholesale City. 

BLOCK B consists of 7 members, including TaeIl, B-Bomb, JaeHyo, U-Kwon, Kyung, Zico and P.O. BLOCK B was the last performers in this evening. Due to leader Zico couldn’t show up for this showcase, so only 6 members were there. They have performed total of 4 songs, starting with “U Hoo Hoo”. Fans were screaming until max when they finally saw BLOCK B on stage! All the 3 floors have been fully filled up with thousands of fans. BLOCK B comfortably sat on the chairs and sang to the fans sweetly.

A short interview with BLOCK B was held on the stage. They were asked about how they feel about the fans in Malaysia. JaeHyo answered that they just reached Malaysia a day ago and they didn’t expect to have so many fans came to support them. They were questioned regarding current fashion in Korea and also their own fashion style too. 

BLOCK B continued with “Wanna Be” from their debut album <Do U Wanna B?>. This was the first time BLOCK B showing off their dance skills to fellow fans in Malaysia. Everyone was hyped up together with the fast beat song, enjoying the Hip-Hop style of BLOCK B. 

Next, BLOCK B performed their hit song “Nanrina” which is the title song of their latest album <Welcome to The Block>. They went to the backstage and got on stage again handsomely with white furry coat. Fans went wild when the boys performing the “gorilla dance” which was the highlight of this song. 

Fans shouted for encore as BLOCK B got off stage after the previous performance. Surprisingly, BLOCK B did an encore for everyone in the hall. The last song was “Let’s Get Retarded” by Black Eyed Peas. Fans rushed to the front, hoping to get a clearer view in seeing the boys performing on stage. U-Kwon and P.O even walked to the front of the stage and sang to the fans. 

Right after the awesome performance by BLOCK B, it was autograph session for lucky 100 BBCs who won the passed from contest held by Kenanga Wholesale City on Facebook. In addition, other fans that didn’t get a chance to go on stage, still able to observe the whole progress of autograph session below the stage. There were video cameras shooting at the members on the stage too. So when Kyung waved to the camera, fans in the hall were able to see it clearly through the big screen at the side of the stage.

K-Gen is a non-profit club set up in Taylors University, Lakeside Campus, aiming at providing a platform for youths in Malaysia to gather and share their interest in Korean culture and entertainment. BLOCK B 526 Showcase Meet The Fans in MALAYSIA!

Kuala Lumpur,16 May 2012 - Korea boy group Block B, will meet their fans on 26th May 2012, at 3pm , in conjunction opening of Kenanga Wholesale City Mall(KWCM).

This is  Block B  debut in Malaysia as an opening guest artiste and meets the fans.  Block B’s fans, this is a golden opportunity to meet them and how can u missed out this important moment?

Block B (Hangul: 블락비) is a South Korean boy group created by Cho PD under his label Brand New Stardom. On April 15, 2011, they made their debut on KBS Music Bank with their first promotional single, "Freeze!" ("그대로 멈춰라!") which from first album ‘New Kids on the Block’. On 27th January 2012, their second album titled 'Welcome to the Block' with new single “Nanrina"("난리나") released. The group consists of seven members: Zico (Woo Jiho), Lee Taeil, B-Bomb (Lee Minhyuk), Ahn Jaehyo, U-Kwon (Kim Yukwon), Park Kyung, and P.O (Pyo Jihoon). The members of  Block B  have dancing, rapping, composing, and singing experience. Their debut single, titled "Do You Wanna B?" consists of three tracks.  Block B  is short for the term Blockbuster, with the group having high hopes of making it big in the music industry. The group has its roots in hip hop, but has interest in branching out into different genres.

Eat Your Kimchi Will Be in Taylor's Very Soon!!

In celebration of M.E Malaysia anniversary, this year we are planning an event to celebrate it with our supporters! Titled Partywith.ME, the event features special performances, exclusive video viewing party (behind the scenes of recent events) and also special guests, youtube kpop reviewer and online media celebrities Simon & Martina (of Eat Your Kimchi fame) who will be in Malaysia for the first time to have talk sessions with Korean entertainment fans on fandom, Korea and its culture and of course, Kpop celebrities.

Among international Korean entertainment fans, Eat Your Kimchi (EYK) has been at the forefront as an influential pioneer in information distribution about Korean entertainment and culture. Created by Simon and Martina Stawski (a couple from Canada currently based in Korea), as of 2012 their YouTube channel has more than 160,000 subscribers and over 40 million upload views. Meanwhile their website (which also hosts videos) receives more than 750,000 hits a month from more than 100,000 viewers. Their facebook gather 122,966 fans and growing daily. 

The Korea Herald included EYK in a list of 21 of "the nation’s most useful websites“ and at Hiexpat.com it  was voted the best expat blog in Korea. Simon & Martina have been featured on television shows such as  Heart to Heart, Quilt Your Korean Map, Star King and Running Man among others. 

This marks Eat Your Kimchi’s first overseas appearances and we are anticipating support from the Korean  entertainment fans during their visit.
