K-pop vs J-pop
Finally, K-pop has been gaining more and more attention in Msia, and we at K-Gen are extremely proud to be "part" of this phenomeneon!
I was totally psyched when i read bout how K-pop has (excuse the mean-ness of my language) overthrown J-pop. Well, with all the efforts of South Korea in utilizing their owh-so-famous entertainers and musicians to attract the world, i guess this was the most efficient strategy huh?
Page One.
Page Two.
Sigh, am just so proud to be part of this exciting "culture".
Are you too?

TEASER PHOTOS!
Ooooh kayyy, K-GEN has started running and we are going out full force now by attempting to organize the FIRST ever Hallyu Festival in TAYLORS LAKESIDE CAMPUS!
Yes, we are determined.
We initially targeted 200 people for our event, but looks like we underestimated the power of Hallyu in Subang (or KL!). We have now more than DOUBLE the estimated amount of people who shown HIGH interest in attending our event on 30th October 2010!
Well well, seems K-GEN are now under pressure to perform huh?
Haha, fret not, we are going to do our best in making sure that this festival will be the talk of the town!
Thus, if you would like to make this event better, or have suggestions, please email us at kgen.taylors@gmail.com OR comment on our Facebook status regarding the questions.
We would definitely bring up your concerns in the upcoming meeting and find a way to solve the problems.
For now, how bout another TEASER photo of our event location?

The Flashmob post :D
K-Generation (K-Gen) Club has officially been launched!
What better way than to introduce Taylorians on our launching than a Flashmob?
Thus, with 7 admins and members as well as a team of crew members, the flashmob kicked off at 12.30pm sharp in front of LT12 on 14th September 2010!
Dancing to a snippets of the hottest and most popular korean songs like Sorry Sorry(Super Junior), Nobody (Wonder Girls) and Gee(SNSD) among others, K-Gen danced away not once, not twice but 3 times around the campus!
Full of dedication, passion and sacrifices,
our team with only 7 members brace ourselves to
dance in Taylor's University College Lakeside Campus.
With ONLY 2 days (10 hours) in total of practice during our 1 week break,
our admins and members worked hard from deciding and editing the songs, learning the dance steps and finally in perfecting it!
What a task to be done in just 10 hours!
Although the routine was not perfect, we hope that our little "gesture" have made an impact and create an awareness that Hallyu wave (Korean wave) has finally hit the shores of Taylors Lakeside Campus!
Nevertheless, the crew had fun spontaneously dancing to the songs along the corridors of the campus!
We even braved the scorching afternoon sun to get the best background view for our video!
Now that's what i call dedication and passion!
Led by our President, Angelyna Chai
and vice president Judith Yuen,
with volunteer members such as Amanda Moo and Jinn Edy,
and with help from Taylor's Dance Club who gave us tips to improve our steps,
we managed to pull of the Flashmob quite well.
Although it is not as big as "What you've seen on TV/YouTube",
and some of us may be disappointed with the small crowd,
but hey, Life never comes easy !
Never give up in dreaming what you want to do,
Just pursue it and the outcome may surprise you !
And this is just the beginning~
Thus, to all Taylorians out there interested in everything korean, please register with us ASAP and be a member to be eligible for our events and also member's priviledges! To those non-Taylorians, please continue to support us through video/event sharing of our club, as well as "like"-ing our FB page!
Thanks to everyone who did an unbelievable job in supporting us!
We hope to bring more interesting and BETTER events to Taylors soon!

WOWOWOW!
Things are starting to crank up ever since we started posting our flyers all around Taylors!
We at K-Gen are bursting with ideas and events that we would like to bring to Taylors Lakeside and we are sooooo ready to start the ball rolling!
Look at all these admins working hard on discussing and distributing flyers all around on Friday!
Have you spotted these flyers around Taylors?
I have to admit, it was tricky trying to wait for the right lifts to come for us to stick the flyers! Haha.
Hopefully these flyers got your attention and influenced you to register online with us!
If you haven't registered, please do so ASAP as we would like to plan bigger and better things if we have more members!
