BLOCK B DEBUT STAGE IN MALAYSIA

KUALA LUMPUR: Sunday, May 27 2012 was the day which BBC (fans) have been waiting for a long time since BLOCK B debuted last year. Jazzy Group of Companies alongside with Brand New Stardom has brought the Hip-Hop group, BLOCK B to Malaysia as guests performing for Kenanga Wholesale City Grand Opening on 26th of May. It was held at the 15th Floor of Kenanga Wholesale City. 


BLOCK B consists of 7 members, including TaeIl, B-Bomb, JaeHyo, U-Kwon, Kyung, Zico and P.OBLOCK B was the last performers in this evening. Due to leader Zico couldn’t show up for this showcase, so only 6 members were there. They have performed total of 4 songs, starting with “U Hoo Hoo”. Fans were screaming until max when they finally saw BLOCK B on stage! All the 3 floors have been fully filled up with thousands of fans. BLOCK B comfortably sat on the chairs and sang to the fans sweetly.

A short interview with BLOCK B was held on the stage. They were asked about how they feel about the fans in Malaysia. JaeHyo answered that they just reached Malaysia a day ago and they didn’t expect to have so many fans came to support them. They were questioned regarding current fashion in Korea and also their own fashion style too. 


BLOCK B continued with “Wanna Be” from their debut album <Do U Wanna B?>. This was the first time BLOCK B showing off their dance skills to fellow fans in Malaysia. Everyone was hyped up together with the fast beat song, enjoying the Hip-Hop style of BLOCK B


Next, BLOCK B performed their hit song “Nanrina” which is the title song of their latest album <Welcome to The Block>. They went to the backstage and got on stage again handsomely with white furry coat. Fans went wild when the boys performing the “gorilla dance” which was the highlight of this song. 


Fans shouted for encore as BLOCK B got off stage after the previous performance. Surprisingly, BLOCK B did an encore for everyone in the hall. The last song was “Let’s Get Retarded” by Black Eyed Peas. Fans rushed to the front, hoping to get a clearer view in seeing the boys performing on stage. U-Kwon and P.O even walked to the front of the stage and sang to the fans. 


Right after the awesome performance by BLOCK B, it was autograph session for lucky 100 BBCs who won the passed from contest held by Kenanga Wholesale City on Facebook. In addition, other fans that didn’t get a chance to go on stage, still able to observe the whole progress of autograph session below the stage. There were video cameras shooting at the members on the stage too. So when Kyung waved to the camera, fans in the hall were able to see it clearly through the big screen at the side of the stage.

K-Gen is a non-profit club set up in Taylors University, Lakeside Campus, aiming at providing a platform for youths in Malaysia to gather and share their interest in Korean culture and entertainment.
